Short description of the project:
Reconstruction of the railway bridge in Hegyeshalom – Rajka country border railway line, section 988+10 hm became necessary due to the seriously deteriorated condition of the bridge structure, and the permanent speed limit used on it.
The reconstruction included the breakdown of the old bridge structure and its supporting substructures, the connecting railway section, and the overhead power supply line, and then the installation of the new bridge structure, and the construction of connecting railway sections and other facilities.
In the project of the breakdown of the old engineering structure and the construction of the new bridge, Homlok Zrt. carried out the construction work operations of the railway line construction, overhead power supply line construction and the breakdown and construction tasks of the assembly hall. The construction operation was carried out using a complete track obstruction, by the specified deadline, according to the preliminary schedule, and the technical handover-takeover was successfully carried out.
After finishing the construction works, railway traffic between Hegyeshalom and Rajka started at the beginning of November, and with that, the construction works of the new railway bridge across the river Lajta was finished. As a result of the investment, the previous speed limit also ended.
